Presidential candidate Rep. Tim Ryan said Wednesday President Trump “doesn’t give a s—t” about the Constitution after Mr. Trump asserted executive privilege over special counsel Robert Mueller’s unredacted report.

“He uses every ounce of power to protect himself. He’s more concerned about himself than the Constitution, the traditions of our country, transparency, all of the essential components, whether in law or in tradition in America. He doesn’t give a s—t about them, he just doesn’t care,” the Ohio Democrat said, ABC News reported.

The president used executive privilege on Mr. Mueller’s full report as the House Judiciary Committee gets ready to vote on holding Attorney General William P. Barr in contempt of Congress.

Mr. Ryan also called Mr. Trump a “distracter in chief,” saying he doesn’t want to have hard conversations about the economy.

“People are still squeezed, and he does not want to have that conversation because he went back on all of his promises. He’s not even trying to deal with economy [sic] for working class people,” he said.

Mr. Ryan is one of the 21 Democrats currently vying to be the nominee to challenge Mr. Trump in the 2020 election.
