SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A popular three-day music festival featuring the likes of rapper G-Eazy has been cancelled after Utah state officials refused to grant a liquor license.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports the authorities cited past drug and alcohol-related violations in refusing to grant a permit for the Bonanza Campout, which was canceled on Wednesday.
The 4-year-old event had been scheduled for June 21 through 23 near Heber City, Utah, about 45 miles east of Salt Lake City. It would have presented 36 artists, including electronic-music producer DJ Snake and Australian pop-rock duo Empire of the Sun.
Organizers said in a statement all ticket and lodging purchases for the event will be refunded and they plan to have the festival again in 2020.
