OCEOLA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A man has pleaded guilty to spray-painting graffiti on a Roman Catholic church in southeastern Michigan earlier this year.

Twenty-nine-year-old Matthew Miller of Brighton Township pleaded guilty as charged Thursday to two counts of malicious destruction of property in Livingston County District Court.

The Livingston Daily Press & Argus reports that authorities say Miller spray-painted graffiti onto two portions of the St. John Catholic Church in Oceola Township in February.

Miller is scheduled to be sentenced on May 14.

Livingston County Prosecutor William Vailliencourt says his office agreed to recommend time served at sentencing with no probation. Miller will have served 76 days in jail when he’s sentenced, or nearly the entirety of the 93-day maximum sentence.

He’s been ordered to pay more than $150 in restitution for the vandalism.
