MOUNT PLEASANT, Utah (AP) - Authorities say three teenagers were killed in a two-vehicle wreck in central Utah.
The Utah Highway Patrol says the wreck occurred Friday night near Mount Pleasant in Sanpete County when a sedan carrying four teens crested a hill and rear-ended a flatbed truck moving slower than the car.
KUTV reports that the 16-year-old girl driving the car was injured while three passengers were killed outright or fatally injured.
They were identified as 18-year-old Ryan Lyman of Ephraim, 16-year-old Julie Oldroyd of Fountain Green and 16-year-old Kody Wheeler of Moroni.
The two people in the flatbed were treated at a hospital for minor injuries.
The Highway Patrol says speed was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
