CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A man has been sentenced in New Hampshire to 14 years in federal prison for participating in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
Court documents say 45-year-old Edward Espejo, formerly of Las Vegas, supplied New Hampshire drug distributors with meth ranging from a few ounces to more than 20 pounds. He pleaded guilty in August. Several co-defendants were sentenced to up to about 10 years in prison.
In 2016, the DEA and Postal Inspection Service began to see numerous parcels mailed from Las Vegas to New Hampshire suspected of containing meth. Police also investigated parcels mailed from New Hampshire to Las Vegas with large amounts of money and money transfers from New Hampshire to Las Vegas.
Espejo was arrested in May 2018.
Several New Hampshire-based drug distributors were sentenced to up to 25 years in prison.
