SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - A California woman has been arrested after what authorities say was the theft of an SUV that followed a struggle with the owner and resulted in a high-speed chase.

The Sacramento Bee reported Saturday that 31-year-old Alycia Donovan was in custody and being held on $20,000 bail.

Officials say the Sacramento Police Department, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office and California Highway Patrol conducted a chase reaching speeds up to 100 mph (161 kph).

Authorities say Andrew Kay left the keys in his Ford SUV while picking up his boat at a Sacramento storage facility and Donovan got in the vehicle and tried to drive away.

Police say Kay struggled with Donovan and took her out of the vehicle and beyond the gates, but she returned and stole the SUV.
