PHOENIX (AP) - Hundreds of Arizona National Guard soldiers are returning home after a year-long deployment to serve as a security force in Afghanistan.
The Guard scheduled a welcome-home ceremony Sunday at its Papago Park base in Phoenix for the approximately 330 soldiers with the 1st Battalion of the 158th Infantry Regiment.
The 1st Battalion previously served in Afghanistan during a 2007-2008 deployment.
