Sen. Lindsey Graham pushed back Friday on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi saying President Trump participated in a “cover-up.”

Mrs. Pelosi said Wednesday morning after a meeting with her caucus that Democrats “believe that the president of the United States is engaged in a cover-up.”

In response, Mr. Graham listed evidence of Mr. Trump’s administration complying with special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation by providing documents and making staff members available for interviews.

“What did Donald Trump cover up regarding Mueller? Nothing. Now if fighting back against a bunch of crazy people trying to destroy his life, that is not covering anything up,” the South Carolina Republican said on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” show.

“The House Judiciary Committee is trying to re-try the Mueller case. Mueller to me was the final word, they actually want to go through everything and do it all over again and get a different outcome. You’re not covering anything up when you’re fighting a bunch of politicians trying to destroy you and your family,” he said.

Mr. Graham said the real cover-up is the split in the Democratic Party.

“When she said ’there’s no division in the House,’ either she’s delusional, or she’s misleading us,” he said. “The energy of their party is impeachment.”
