LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) - The IOC has nominated Greek official Spyros Capralos as a member, seven years after he was linked to black market ticket sales for the 2012 London Olympics.

International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach says Capralos “has served his sanction and that a warning cannot be an exclusion forever.”

Capralos was executive director of the 2004 Athens Olympics, and president of Greece’s Olympic body since 2009.

The IOC says 10 people proposed for membership passed integrity checks.

They include Laura Chinchilla, the state president of Costa Rica from 2010 to 2014, and Erick Thohir, former joint owner of the Philadelphia 76ers and former chairman of Inter Milan.

The chief executive of Credit Suisse bank, Tidjane Thiam, is also among the nominees to be confirmed by current IOC members on June 26 in Lausanne.
