President Trump has tapped former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli for a post as an immigration adviser at the Department of Homeland Security, the White House confirmed Tuesday.

Two White House aides said Mr. Cuccinelli will work at DHS and will not serve as the “immigration czar” that the president has been seeking.

It’s not clear when Mr. Cuccinelli, known as an immigration hardliner, will begin his new job.
