OPINION:
Now America has definitive proof, from her own mouth, that Hillary Clinton is delusional. She has actually said publicly that she is living “rent free” in President Trump’s head, due to his “obsession” with her email situation. Why does she insist on humiliating herself?
If I were legal counsel to any of the Clinton clan, I would strongly suggest they all go somewhere very private, close their mouths and sit very quietly with their hands folded in their laps, waiting for federal law enforcement agents to arrive. The “obsession” to which Mrs. Clinton refers is actually a pile of felony-grade crimes that were committed while she dabbled in trading American uranium to Russia through Canada, a transaction (Uranium One) that landed millions of dollars in her deepest pocket, the Clinton Foundation.
The specific “obsession” that Mr. Trump shares with millions of Americans is her storage of confidential intelligence documents on a personal server that was hacked by foreign agents, violating the Espionage Act (another felony). Mrs. Clinton has always maintained, even in testimony to Congress, that no documents were marked “Confidential” or “Secret” — which we now know was a lie, and lying to Congress is a crime, as is perjury.
Mrs. Clinton had evidence destroyed (emails and government-owned electronic devices), which constitutes obstruction of justice and is yet another felony offense. How many counts of obstruction is anybody’s guess, but one is enough for most of us who have been watching very closely.
So although Mrs. Clinton believes in her own mind that she’s living “rent free” anywhere, the reality is that if there is any justice in the world (and it looks like Attorney General Bill Barr will ensure that there is) Mrs. Clinton and a whole host of her confederates may be living “rent free” in a federal facility surrounded by concertina wire. It will be interesting and fun to see who comes to her defense.
