SEATTLE (AP) - A West Seattle man convicted of sexually assaulting a woman who suffered a stroke after a car crash has been sentenced to more than 25 years in prison.

The Seattle Times reports 43-year-old Chayce Hanson was convicted last month of rape, assault with sexual motivation, felony hit-and-run and witness tampering.

Hanson contends he did not get a fair trial.

King County Superior Court Judge Roger Rogoff at sentencing Friday said video-surveillance footage outside a restaurant showed the woman was sexually assaulted and that she had no ability to do anything about it.

Prosecutors say Hanson later drove and hit rocks, causing the woman’s head to hit the windshield, which caused the stroke.

Prosecutors say that instead of seeking medical attention, Hanson took the woman home and raped her.
