“Game of Thrones” is winding down, so any celebrity who can land a cameo in its eighth and final season should consider himself or herself lucky.
The latest cameo belonged to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Sunday night’s episode, the penultimate episode of the series.
Rodgers is a self-professed “Game of Thrones” nerd and got to play a soldier in Cersei Lannister’s Golden Company army in the fifth episode of the season, surely living out most fans’ fantasies to be involved in the broadly popular HBO series.

The “Game of Thrones” finale will air May 19, and Rodgers will return to leading his army of Packers soon after.
