TELLURIDE, Colo. (AP) - Daily commercial flights at a southwestern Colorado airport begin for the first time this week.
Officials with the Telluride Regional Airport say Denver Air Connection, a partner of United Airlines, will begin daily flights to and from Denver on Wednesday.
The Telluride Daily Planet reports that the airport in Telluride has lost commercial flight service twice during the past three years.
Officials hope the new daily flights will make travel for business or pleasure more convenient for locals and help visitors more easily reach Telluride.
