LEICESTER, England (AP) - Chelsea wrapped up its Premier League campaign and third place with an uninspired goalless draw at Leicester on Sunday.
Playing in what could have been his final Premier League game for the Blues, Eden Hazard came off the bench for 22 minutes but could not find a cutting edge.
Hazard, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, will play at least one more game with Chelsea, the Europa League final against London rival Arsenal later this month.
Leicester, the 2016 champion, finished in ninth place on the back of a mundane season.
Gonzalo Higuain wasted the chance to put Chelsea in front in first-half stoppage time when he fired wide from close range while Jamie Vardy and Youri Tielemans had Leicester’s best chances.
Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Everton secured a third-place finish for Maurizio Sarri’s side, which finished 26 points behind Manchester City.
