COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) - A former package truck unloader is accused of taking three guns in Mississippi.
UPS reported the missing guns on March 26 from its Columbus terminal.
WTVA-TV reports the guns were on their way to licensed firearms dealers, but never arrived.
Lowndes County sheriff’s investigators determined the guns were taken when they got to terminal.
The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department says 20-year-old Sharquez Cox was stopped Monday and found with two of the stolen guns.
Investigators searched his home and found the third gun.
The sheriff’s department says Cox was a part-time unloader at the UPS terminal, but has since been fired.
It’s unclear if Cox has a lawyer.
