ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Brian Warren had 24 points as Texas-Arlington defeated Texas State 81-73 on Saturday.

Edric Dennis had 15 points for Texas-Arlington (16-15, 12-6 Sun Belt Conference), which won its fourth straight game. David Azore added seven rebounds.

Nijal Pearson had 13 points for the Bobcats (23-8, 12-6). Mason Harrell added 13 points. Quentin Scott had 12 points.

Tre’Larenz Nottingham, who was second on the Bobcats in scoring coming into the contest with 14 points per game, had six points. He failed to make a shot from beyond the arc (0 of 5).

The Mavericks improve to 2-0 against the Bobcats on the season. Texas-Arlington defeated Texas State 84-77 on Feb. 2.
