OPINION:
After the ugly defeat in the 2014 midterm elections, then-President Barack Obama famously said, “… The buck stops right here at my desk. Whenever, as the head of the party, it doesn’t do well, I’ve got to take responsibility for it.”
What we did not know at the time is that the Democratic Party, of which Barack Obama was the figurehead, was knee-deep in crafting the conspiracy to throw the election for Hillary Clinton in the face of any challenger - meaning Bernie Sanders. It was also only a few short months before a rich developer in New York announced his run for the Republican nomination. At that point in the summer of 2015, the Obama Department of Justice, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, began to plot against Donald J. Trump and his outsider campaign for The White House. This included embedding spies in his campaign, pushing a fake dossier that was paid for by the Clinton campaign to throw dirt at Trump, and ignoring the crimes of Hillary Clinton and the server in her closet.
It amazes me that the Obamas have been able to skate through all of the explosive revelations that have come out since this time. Barack’s name is scarcely mentioned these days in the press as disclosure after shocking disclosure makes its way to the light of day. Teflon Obama has remained above it all, gayfully frolicking in the love and nostalgia of the corrupt media and his ’progressive’ supporters.
Of course Mr. Obama was aware of what was going on in the FBI and DOJ on his watch. Where is the accountability? If he publicly stated ’the buck stops here’, why didn’t the buck stop with him?
When you add on the fact that Obama used the tax agency of the federal government to go after the political opposition, and corrupted most other agencies in Washington of which he oversaw, it truly is mind-blowing.
The scale of the criminal activity is on a level Nixon could never even dream of.
Most Americans hope that at some point, those implicated in the horrendous abuse of power will be held accountable. However, they are starting to give up hope.
Rep. Devin Nunes, who broke much of these shenanigans to the chagrin of the Obama administration and the #NeverTrumpers, said in a recent interview on Fox, “I believe that, if the new attorney general and the Department of Justice, if they don’t take all of this on, and do a full scrub and have full accountability and transparency for the American people, you’re going to see generations of conservatives who will not trust the Department of Justice, they will not trust the FBI, and they for sure will not trust the FISA process.”
He is exactly correct. And the investigation should start at the top.
