PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Maine’s Supreme Judicial Court has ordered a lawyer suspended for violating multiple rules of professional conduct.
The Portland Press Herald reports the court ordered Portland-based attorney Anthony Sineni III suspended from practicing law for two years, with 15 months suspended.
The Board of Overseers of the Bar said Tuesday Sineni was found to have violated rules related to competence, fees and confidentiality among other issues.
Board Executive Director Jacqueline Rogers says the court suspended part of Sineni’s suspension after he agreed to engage in remedial measures aimed at improving his law office management.
Sineni will be monitored by another Maine lawyer as part of his suspension.
The start of his suspension will be determined at a final sanction hearing April 4.
