ST. LOUIS (AP) - St. Louis police say they made 28 arrests during Mardi Gras weekend, mostly for minor offenses.
Police said Monday that six people were arrested for assault, three for peace disturbance, one for driving while intoxicated, one for urinating in public, and 17 for minors in possession of alcohol.
The event took place in unseasonably cold weather this year, with highs in the 30s on Saturday and snowy and in the 20s on Sunday.
The St. Louis Mardi Gras is believed to be the nation’s second-largest celebration, behind New Orleans.
