LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - The University of Wyoming is planning a $1 million renovation of a former sorority house into student housing.

The Laramie Boomerang reports that the building, known as Tobin House, was used by the Pi Beta Phi sorority until June 2017 when the university purchased the property. Officials say the renovated property will be able to house 65 students in dormitories.

The size of the university’s freshman class reached a record in 2018 and existing dormitories were filled.

The project is expected to be completed by this year’s fall semester.
