Sen. Lindsey Graham said Wednesday to expect the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report investigating alleged 2016 election collusion between President Trump and Russia “sometime in April.”
The South Carolina Republican and chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee said in an interview with CNN’s “This Hour” that he wasn’t sure how much of the report would be released once grand jury and intelligence information is taken out, adding, “You’ll get everything that doesn’t compromise national security or violate the law.”
Mr. Graham also said Mr. Trump’s told him the White House will not be invoking executive privilege to view the report before it’s publicly released.
“The president said ’release it.’ He reinforced it last night, ’Just release it,’ ” Mr. Graham said.
While the full report has not been shared yet, Attorney General William P. Barr released a four-page summary saying Mr. Mueller exonerated Mr. Trump and his campaign from any collusion with Russia but chose to not make a determination on obstruction of justice.
Mr. Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said the evidence against obstruction of justice is not enough to pursue charges.
