WELLFLEET, Mass. (AP) - Officials have released the names of a couple killed in a fire in Massachusetts earlier this month.

The Cape Cod Times reports that according to their obituaries, Cathleen and Ferdinand Kral died in a fire at their home on Lieutenant Island in Wellfleet on March 11.

The fire destroyed the couple’s two-story home, which firefighters struggled to find initially on the isolated island.

Diane Hall says the couple would regularly dine at her restaurant, and they would “fill the room with laughter” during their annual parties on Thanksgiving weekend.

A funeral for the couple will be held Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Church.

State police and the state fire marshal’s office are investigating the cause of the fire and the couple’s death.
