HELENA, Mont. (AP) - Montana’s unemployment rate remained 3.8 percent in February, matching the national rate.
Gov. Steve Bullock said in a statement Friday the economy held steady during an unseasonably cold month and with federal employees returning to work after the previous month’s partial government shutdown.
The lowest unemployment rate was recorded in McCone County, at 1.6 percent. The highest was Glacier County’s 9.8 percent.
Among the state’s reservations, the Northern Cheyenne had the highest rate at 14.4 percent.
