WHITE CENTER, Wash. (AP) - Authorities say one person was arrested in connection to a brush fire just south of Seattle in White Center that spread to a nearby apartment complex and injured firefighters.

The Seattle Times reports firefighters responded around 3 p.m. Wednesday and evacuated units in two nearby apartment complexes, according to Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority spokesman Capt. Kyle Ohashi.

He says the fire was pushed by the wind, spread into one of the apartment buildings and damaged all seven units.

Ohashi says no occupants were injured but three firefighters.

He says a Seattle Fire Department firefighter was sent to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, while another firefighter was sent to the hospital as a precaution and one was treated at the scene.

King County Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Ryan Abbott says officials believe the fire was arson.
