Donald Trump Jr. says the Democratic Party’s 2020 platform can be boiled down to three words: “Everyone before Americans.”

The president’s oldest son made the comment Wednesday after hearing remarks by presidential hopeful Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.

The New York Democrat and presidential hopeful told Iowans that “comprehensive immigration reform” would ensure that everyone in the country will pay into and receive Social Security.

“If you are in this country now, you must have the right to pay into Social Security, to pay your taxes, to pay into the local school system and to have a pathway to citizenship,” she said. “That must happen.”

Mr. Trump ridiculed that proposal as making “total sense” given Social Security’s shaky footing.

Ms. Gillibrand, whose past policy preferences on immigration were to the right of her peers, appears determined to change her image, since her party’s base is debating whether to abolish ICE and tear down existing border barriers.

“There is no such thing as an illegal human,” she also said Monday evening during a town hall event with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes.
