SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The South Dakota State University and the University of South Dakota women’s basketball teams have both made the NCAA Tournament.
Summit League champion SDSU is a No. 6 seed and fill face No. 11 Quinnipiac on Saturday. The Jackrabbits are making their ninth tournament appearance in 11 years. The No. 6 seed is the highest in school history.
South Dakota secured an at-large bid and a No. 8 seed. The Coyotes will face No. 9 Clemson on Friday. USD made its only other tournament appearance in 2014.
