Samuel L. Jackson has a message for anyone who is tired of his partisan politics affecting their impression of him on the big screen: “F— you.”
The man who likened President Trump to a plantation owner prior to the release of Disney’s “Captain Marvel” says critics can “burn” his work if they don’t like his rhetoric.
“Do you worry about antagonizing fans?” the actor was asked for Esquire magazine’s March edition.
“I know how many motherf—ers hate me,” he responded. “’I’m never going to see a Sam Jackson movie again.’ F—k I care? If you never went to another movie I did in my life, I’m not going to lose any money. I already cashed that check. F— you. Burn up my videotapes. I don’t give a f—k.”
“’You’re an actor. Stick to acting.’ No, motherf—er. I’m a human being that feels a certain way. And some of this s— does affect me, because if we don’t have health care, sh—, and my relatives get sick, they’re going to call my rich a—. I want them to have health care.”
Mr. Jackson told the magazine that anyone who doesn’t speak out against Mr. Trump is “complicit” in “ruining the planet and all kinds of other crazy sh—.”
“The people think that’s okay. It’s not f—ing okay,” he said. “And if you’re not saying anything, then you’re complicit.”
