LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Gov. Mark Gordon has signed a bill that aims to help the University of Wyoming make improvements to its outdated student dormitories.

The Laramie Boomerang reports that Gordon made a few line-item vetoes to House Bill 293 on Friday but approved the overall bill that promises to spur more than $300 million of new dorms on the UW campus in Laramie.

He also offered some criticisms concerning the planning process for new dorms.

His line-item vetoes fixed a drafting error and rejected certain changes made to the task force that’s overseeing the project.
