NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - A “bad smell” prompted the evacuation of an electronics manufacturer specializing in defense in Delaware, sending three people to the hospital.

Tesla Industries owner David Masilotti tells news outlets that employees were nauseated by a smell coming from the computer-aided drafting section of the building Thursday morning. Tesla Industries, Inc., is not to be confused with Elon Musk’s Tesla, Inc.

Masilotti and his team decided to evacuate the entire building. Jamie Bethard with the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control says the cause of the smell is still under investigation, but it was likely related to sewer or gas issues. Bethard says people complained of feeling scratchy throats or an itchy rash.

Two people refused hospitalization.
