YORK, Pa. (AP) - A pair of intricate model ships has returned to the Pennsylvania home where they were built over four decades ago.

York resident Dennis Kunkle won them at an auction and intends to clean them, place them under glass, and display them in the room where he believes they were built. The York Daily Record reports Kunkle lives in the home where he says the ships were built by Roland Whitmire in the 1970s.

Kunkle says he bought the house about 16 years ago. He says he hopes the ships - and their history - will be kept with the house by future owners.
