SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Three men have been arrested in north-central Idaho on suspicion of cashing phony lottery tickets.
The Spokesman-Review reports Lucas S. Chane and John W. Day of Spokane, Washington and Rodney K. Olson of Post Falls, Idaho, were arrested and charged with felony possession of counterfeit state lottery tickets after police received reports that some men were cashing in fake tickets at two Lewiston businesses.
The Lewiston Police Department says investigators found 40 counterfeit tickets, the printer and paper used to make them and drug paraphernalia.
All three have been charged with felony possession of counterfeit or altered state lottery tickets. They have not yet had a chance to enter a plea in court.
The Idaho State Lottery Commission is assisting with the investigation.
