The Washington Redskins are reportedly interested in free agent safety Landon Collins, but it appears they’ll have some competition.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Redskins and the Indianapolis Colts have shown the most interest in the three-time Pro Bowler so far during NFL free agency. The league’s negotiating window opened Monday, meaning the Redskins can negotiate with Collins’ agent.
Collins spent four seasons with the New York Giants, though the team chose not to use the franchise tag to keep him last week. The 25-year-old would fill a major need at safety for the Redskins.

It’s possible, though, the Redskins could get outbid.
Washington will have just $13 million in cap space once the Case Keenum trade becomes official. The team can always release players to create more room — but the Colts lead the league in cap space with $101 million.
Collins had 96 tackles last season.
