SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - Police say a man who crashed his 2011 Maserati into a house in Massachusetts was drunk and speeding.
Authorities say Felipe Deafilvapinheiro, of Rockland, struck the Southborough home just after 5 a.m. Sunday.
Police Chief Kenneth Paulhus says Deafilvapinheiro’s car traveled across a driveway and struck a tree after hitting the house.
He says the evidence shows the man was driving at an “extremely high rate of speed.”
No one inside the home was injured, but the damage to the home was extensive.
Deafilvapinheiro is facing charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and speeding among other offenses. It’s not clear if he has a lawyer.
