GROVE CITY, Ohio (AP) - A 75-year-old woman who contracted Legionnaires’ disease at a newly opened hospital outside Columbus and then died has been identified.

The Columbus Dispatch reports an attorney for her family has confirmed that Deanna Rezes died last Sunday at Mount Carmel Grove City. She was initially admitted to the hospital May 18 for breathing problems, readmitted May 28 with flu like symptoms, and diagnosed with Legionnaires’ three days later.

An official cause of death hasn’t been determined.

At least 14 patients admitted to the 210-bed hospital after its opening April 28 have been diagnosed with Legionnaires’, a severe form of pneumonia that’s caused by inhaling tiny water droplets containing the legionella bacteria.

Hospital officials say all water restrictions that have been in place should be removed in the next few days.
