TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A Tucson woman has been charged with stealing several identities and using driver’s licenses in their names.
The Arizona attorney general’s office said Wednesday that a grand jury indicted Randi Marie Hartjen on multiple counts.
Hartjen is facing two dozen charges total related to forgery, identity theft, fraud and car theft.
Prosecutors say she stole the identities of six Phoenix-area women between September 2018 and last month. She then ordered driver’s licenses in the women’s names and had them mailed to Tucson.
She then either rented or purchased six cars.
Hartjen came into police custody while driving one of the cars in Tucson. All but one of the six cars has been recovered.
It was not immediately known if she had an attorney.
