Wide receiver Terry McLaurin signed his rookie contract with the Washington Redskins Thursday, meaning all 10 rookies in the team’s draft class have signed.
McLaurin was the Redskins’ third-round pick out of Ohio State. He played with quarterback Dwayne Haskins, Washington’s first-rounder and presumed signal-caller of the future, and Haskins said he lobbied his new team to draft McLaurin.
McLaurin played four seasons for the Buckeyes and was a two-time team captain. He caught 35 passes for 701 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior in Columbus.
Coach Jay Gruden has praised McLaurin’s speed and “the amount of plays he’s made” in offseason practices so far.
The Redskins inked Haskins, fellow first-rounder Montez Sweat and the rest of the class last month.
