Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal is among a host of American players expected to go to USA Basketball’s training camp in Las Vegas before the 2019 FIBA World Cup, ESPN reported.

Beal is one of the marquee names on the list, which also includes James Harden, Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum and Anthony Davis.

China will host this year’s World Cup from Aug. 21 to Sept. 15. USA Basketball’s camp will run Aug. 5-8.

The U.S. is the defending champion after winning gold at the last event in 2014. San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich will coach the American team this year.

Beal is coming off a stellar individual campaign in 2018-19, in which he was named an NBA All-Star for the second time and fell just short of being named to the All-NBA team. He shot .475 from the floor to average 25.6 points per game, along with 5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game, all career highs.
