LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - At least three candidates have announced plans to run for a seat representing south-central Lincoln in the Nebraska Legislature.

Jennifer Carter announced her candidacy Wednesday for the District 29 seat currently held by Sen. Kate Bolz, of Lincoln. Bolz can’t seek re-election in 2020 due to term limits.

Another candidate, Eliot Bostar, announced his intention to run last week. Jacob Campbell, a business owner and former child abuse investigator, announced last month.

Carter works as the legal counsel for the Legislature’s Health and Human Services Committee. She also worked as a consultant for the Food Bank of the Heartland and the Food Bank of Lincoln.

Bostar is the executive director of the Nebraska Conservation Voters and Conservation Nebraska and a member of the Lincoln Electric System’s board of directors.
