After spending two seasons with the Washington Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Zach Brown told reporters Monday he already sees a big difference in the locker room with his new team.
Brown joined the Eagles last month after the Redskins released him in March.
“This locker room is different from the locker room I came from (in Washington),” Brown said. “There are no cliques. It’s one big clique. I can talk over there and mess with the linemen, talk with them, chit chat, play cornhole. The running backs are right here, so I always give them [expletive].”
Brown fell out of favor with the Redskins last season. He was benched for sixth-rounder Shaun Dion Hamilton and told reporters he saw the “writing on the wall” about his future with the team. Brown’s performance was highly inconsistent, though the linebacker attributed that to a oblique injury he played with throughout the year.
The Redskins released Brown just one year into a three-year, $24 million deal. The move saved $5.75 million in cap space.
Now, Brown will face his former team twice next season, starting Week 1 in Philadelphia.
