SEATTLE (AP) - Health officials say another case of the measles has been confirmed in a Western Washington outbreak.

Public Health-Seattle & King County said Friday a child living in Seattle’s King County was at a Fred Meyer store in Kent and at Seattle Children’s hospital twice this week before being diagnosed.

Seattle Children’s is notifying patients who may have been exposed.

More than a half dozen cases have occurred in King County with several more in neighboring counties since the beginning of May, when an outbreak was declared in Western Washington.

Health officials are still working to determine the source of the child’s measles and whether this case is connected to others in the area.

Officials said previously that the first several cases pointed to a common exposure from an unidentified person with measles April 25 at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
