Former Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall revealed he received a three-year, $27 million offer from the New England Patriots before re-signing with Washington in 2009.
Hall instead accepted a six-year, $54 million deal from the Redskins, who he joined in 2008 after the Oakland Raiders released him. The Pro Bowl cornerback remained with the Redskins until his retirement after the 2017 season.
If Hall had joined the Patriots, perhaps he could have won a Super Bowl — an accomplishment missing from the 35-year-old’s storied resume.
One of my favorite segments in months. DeAngelo Hall tells us the Patriots offered him 3 years, $27 million after the 2008 season. Took more money to be a Redskin. “No regrets. I loved my time with the Redskins. That was home. But, yeah, I think about that decision time to time.” https://t.co/S1KcckMvgY

The Patriots have won three Super Bowls since 2009, though one took place following Hall’s retirement.
So, any regrets?
“No regrets,” Hall told The NFL Network. “I loved my time with the Redskins. That was home. But, yeah, I think about that decision time to time.”
Hall joined the NFL Network as a full-time contributor earlier this month.
