FAIRMONT, W.Va. (AP) - Services are scheduled for this weekend for former West Virginia running back Kerry Marbury.

Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home in Fairmont says Marbury died Sunday at his home. He was 67. No cause of death was given.

The funeral home says services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Fairmont.

Marbury was a state track champion in the 100- and 220-yard dashes and was considered one of the top high school football players in state history out of Monongah High School. He attended West Virginia and set the Mountaineers’ single-game rushing record of 291 yards against Temple in 1971, a mark that stood for 33 years.
