Eric Trump, President Trump’s middle son, said he was spat on by a cocktail bar employee Tuesday while visiting Chicago and used the incident to criticize Democrats.

“It was purely a disgusting act by somebody who clearly has emotional problems. For a party that preaches tolerance, this once again demonstrates they have very little civility. When somebody is sick enough to resort to spitting on someone, it just emphasizes a sickness and desperation and the fact that we’re winning,” the younger Mr. Trump said to Breitbart News.

NBC5 reported a woman was taken into Secret Service custody. The Chicago Police Department confirmed it is helping federal authorities at the scene of the incident.

The lounge where the event occurred, Chicago’s Aviary, made news earlier this year after the owner offered Clemson University Tigers “an actual celebration dinner” after the White House served them fast-food.
