HERSHEY, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say a 19-year-old man is accused of threatening to kill his grandmother and burn her house in western Nebraska’s Lincoln County.

Court records say Deven Ward, of Hershey, is charged with terroristic threats and possessing a deadly weapon while committing a felony. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 11. The records don’t list the name of an attorney who could comment for Ward.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says deputies sent Sunday to the woman’s home in Hershey found her hiding inside. She told deputies that Ward had threatened to use a knife to kill her and then said he’d set her house aflame.
