RENO, Nev. (AP) - The Washoe County School District claims its superintendent might have breached her contract by leaking confidential information to support a lawsuit against the district.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reported Sunday that the district board has scheduled a special meeting for next week to consider Superintendent Traci Davis’s contract and the misconduct allegations.

Davis went on indefinite leave earlier this month, citing personal reasons.

She did not return the newspaper’s calls for comment. Her attorney William Peterson also did not return a request for comment.

The school district’s attorney sent a letter to Davis last week, claiming she provided or allowed access to information that included attorney-client privileged communications, emails and other documents.

A former employee sued the district last year, alleging discrimination and harassment.
