A former U.S. president will be at Sunday night’s NBA Finals game in Toronto, even though Canada’s current head of government might not.
Besides all the star power on the court, the NBA Finals series between the Toronto Raptors and the Golden State Warriors has had Canadian hiphop star Drake as its highest wattage celebrity courtside.
Not now, according to Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today
“Have confirmed Barack Obama is expected to be in attendance for Game 2 of Warriors-Raptors in the #nbafinals,” he wrote on Twitter on Sunday evening, adding the Canada’s biggest-name politician was uncertain, despite this being the first NBA Finals series played north of the border.
“Conflicting info about Canada prime minister Justin Trudeau: was told he is not expected to attend,” Mr. Zillgitt wrote.
The person is charge of the Twitter feed for SB Nation had some fun with the “courtside stars” issue.
“Drake: I’m gonna be the most important person at the NBA Finals. Obama: Hold my beer,” SB Nation wrote.
