ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say an off-duty Los Angeles police detective has been cited for allegedly videotaping in a men’s bathroom at Angels Stadium of Anaheim.
Anaheim police say a citizen’s arrest was made by someone who reported the alleged taping on June 8.
KABC-TV says the LAPD employee is 42-year-old Ryan Caplette, a detective assigned to the employee relations department that handles employee grievances and working conditions.
He was issued a misdemeanor citation and released. It’s unclear whether he had obtained legal counsel.
The LAPD says Caplette was assigned to home with pay.
