BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (AP) - A former office manager in West Virginia has been sentenced to three years and five months in federal prison for embezzling from her employer.

U.S. Attorney Mike Stuart’s office says in a news release that 67-year-old Roseanna Coomes of Bluefield also must pay restitution of $969,317 to Cole Truck Parts and $64,330 to the Internal Revenue Service.

The statement says Coomes wrote checks to herself and someone else and made false entries in the company’s accounts from 2007 to 2017. She also failed to report the income on her tax returns.
