SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Syracuse University has extended its sports equipment agreement with Nike.
Athletic director John Wildhack made the announcement Friday. He says the deal includes two summer internships and is of a shorter term than in the past but declined to disclose details.
Syracuse has been a Nike customer since men’s basketball with Pearl Washington in 1982.
Wildhack also says 6,800 new season tickets for football have been sold and that ticket renewal for football is at 90 percent.
Coach Dino Babers guided the Orange to 10 wins last season. They defeated West Virginia in the Pinstripe Bowl to finish the season ranked No. 15 in the AP Top 25, their first national ranking since 2001.
